Can I stream audio to HomePod from AirPlay2 compatible TV?
I'm looking at LG OLED TV that states it's compatible with AirPlay 2. Found Reddit post from 1 year ago saying it can't send audio to HomePod. Found this Apple Forum post from 2 years ago stating LG TV can receive AirPlay 2 but not send. The document it pointed to provided no explanation that supported this assessment.

Found a second Apple Forum post from 1 year ago with similar answer. "To a TV, but not from a TV."
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251930562. The response linked to Apple support note that does not give a clear yes/no answer, so I'm wondering if this is correct interpretation of the note. https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT208728
Devices you can stream audio from
Apple devices plus PC with iTunes v12.8 or later.
Devices you can stream to
Apple TV, HomePod, AirPort Express, and "AirPlay 2 Compatible TVs".
My interoperation of this info is no AirPlay 2 compatible TV is capable of streaming audio to my HomePods because they are not included in the stream-from list. Is that correct?
Would a TV that is both AirPlay 2 and HomeKit compatible be able to stream audio to HomePods?
Finally, Is it a waste of my time looking for an AirPlay 2 compatible AV Receiver to stream audio to my HomePods because those components aren't on the list of devices that can stream-from?
Yes, I could get an Apple TV to stream audio to HomePods while watching TV, but we still have lots of audio CDs. I'd like to avoid needing 2 separate systems to watch video and listen to music.
Appreciate any guidance.
