iTunes re-install & backup location

I recently upgraded my PC, and subsequently had to re-install all my software. iTunes being one of them. I had to install it from the windows store as you don't seem to be able to download it from itunes.com like before. The issue I cant get my head around, because I can't find any discussion about it on the net, is that when iTunes installs on my PC, it no longer creates the folder "apple computer" under user/appdata/roaming/ anymore. When I initiate an iphone backup, it puts the file into user/apple. I'm using the latest Win 10 pro.

Is this an intended change by apple? or is there some bizarre going on with my system?
