AirPod issues since I got my iPhone 11 Pro

Hi all - I got an iPhone 11 Pro on release day and have been having issues ever since with my AirPods. The problem that I am facing is only with using them for talking. I can hear audio fine, including music, etc, but when I try talking people can only occasionally hear me. I have reverted back to using EarPods the past week or so, so that I am able to talk on the phone.

Any ideas? I have updated to 13.1.2 and the issue still exists.

For whoever is using an iRing or other metal phone holder, if it's placed in a center location on the back of the phone, it'll cause just enough interference to create a static/stutter/dropped bluetooth with AirPods (or other streaming bluetooth device). I went through the software updates and tested other bluetooth devices before realizing it was the iRing blocking bluetooth signals. Once the phone was removed from my case, it works just fine again. So check your cases/iRing/pop holders etc for interference.

Simple fix to such a confounding problem.

Did anyone solve the issue (I’m an owner of iPhone 11pro) ? I’m not quite sure whether mine problem is anyhow connected with airpods. When I’m speaking with somebody in 50% of calls my voice is distorted and second party does not hear me. It happens even if I don’t use airpods. I need to turn off the phone and then for couple of hours it is ok. Then everything comes back.

should I exchange the phone anyone solve this issue ?

Trying to figure out how the last response was helpful ... Here’s a novel idea, read all the posts before making a blanket statement about people complaining about their AirPod issues. Many of those who posted, myself included, have AirPods that are out of warranty ... not by years, but some just a few months. Thus, we are not covered under warranty. Maybe those who have been affected by this Apple issue don’t have a “genius” close by. That’s right, my closest Apple store is 45 minutes away.

I just purchased the iPhone 11 and Airpods Pro. I'm having this issue as well where calls are being dropped, and audio is intermittently garbled with static or robot sounding noises. This is really unacceptable. I'm also updated on the latest airpod firmware and IOS 13.2.3. I've tried the resetting airpods thing, repairing method, everything anyone has suggested. Please advise.

It's annoying because the cell phone was literally invented to do one job--make sure you can call other people without interruption. And I can't even do that with one of the most expensive pairs of earphones I've ever purchased.

Yes, my problem has the same symptoms. I can connect to a call fine for about the first 10 minutes, but after 10-12 minutes, I hear digital/Bluetooth interference. The resolution is to switch to speaker or iphone audio. This did not happen on my old phone and has only been a problem since I upgraded to iPhone 11 in January 2020. I would love it if all of my phone calls and conference calls ended in 10 minutes or less, but that's not reality.
