My MacBook Pro keeps taking forever to load and then it takes me to a page that looks like the apple page and says my MacBook has downloaded a virus and that I should install the link they have and it'll clear it. So should I download it? Do I have a virus?

What you are Getting is a Scam:
There are no viruses for Mac. So, whomever created this message knows no better of Apple devices. Note that Web sites are files; not Applications. They are, in particular, HTML files - Web sites compiled of code --- code of which creates messages like this to pop up.

Download and run Malwarebytes for Mac (free version); hopefully that will get rid of the adware/redirects.
