Hi Everyone. There is another (short) post regarding same issue. It's called "AW Cellular S3 Nike - Call Failed every time... A solution was posted on that string that worked for me as I can now answer calls on my watch. It states:

On your iPhone, go to Settings > Phone, and turn off Wi-Fi Calling and Calls on Other Devices.

In the Watch app on your iPhone, go to My Watch > General > Enable Handoff, and disable Handoff.

Restart both devices, then turn these features back on.

Here's more about Wi-Fi Calling and how calls are delivered to other devices:

Make and receive calls on your Mac, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Make a call with Wi-Fi Calling - Apple Support

Let me know if this works, test while connected and not connected to Wi-Fi.

Good luck.

Just to remember: it’s 5 months since our Apple watches paired with iPhone SE work at 10% of their functions (but we payed them 100%). This happens in Apple’s total silence: we don’t know how, if, when they’ll solve it. With no apologies for this, no workarounds, no compensation. 5 months. We have to keep our Apple watches “broken”. It seems Apple says “its your problem”. I’m dazed. In years happily using Apple products I’ve never seen an issue handled like this. A REAL SHAME.

I have absolutely the same issue. I have iPhone SE and iWatch4 and I cant make or receive calls. I can count on 1 hand how many times I could receive or make calls and I have my iWatch since September. I bought it also for the reason of being able to answer the phones when I leave my phone downstairs and that I would not need to run downstairs to pick it up. However this is not the case and I dont understand what is wrong. According to apple store everythign is correct on the watch, they did a test etc however the problem persists. It is pretty annoying. :(

6.1.3 release hasn’t fixed the issue.

It’s 5 months now. Face this scenario: this morning I was listening to some music with AirPods (1 gen). I’ve received an iMessage. I wanted to answer with my Apple Watch and dictation (as I used to do successfully prior to the watchos 6 release). Now: music stops. My Apple Watch goes to black screen and “Siri wave form” screen. I dictate my answer but nothing happens. I try more and more, nothing! So I go back to watch faces: music doesn’t resume, AirPods disconnect. Every time I use Siri on my watch, AirPods disconnect. This happens since September 19th. And yes, no calls from my Apple Watch and If I answer a call from my watch the call drops. What really can we do? Apple can’t just ignore it!

Just a little more feedback. When I was having problems making calls on my Apple Watch I contacted Apple Support. That was a several months ago. For some reason, during the past several weeks I must have been contacted by Support (via phone) over a dozen times asking them to call me back so they could discuss my problem. I am a teacher, so I was never able to take their calls as I was in class. Anyway, they were very persistent, which I think is a good thing. Someone, or a group of people, at Apple clearly want to address this issue. BTW, I did respond to their requests via email, saying everything was ok for me. But, it turned out that I actually needed to call them and talk to them to stop them from trying to contact me.

Same here. No hope anymore. I’ve “worked” (as customer) for apple months, hours, sending videos of the issue, spending hours with lots of advisors (in my country and even with apple support USA): sending diagnostic files... no solutions. Even worst: no official response. Try to ask about this on social support, they ignore it. It’s a shame. I’m still determined to obtain a compensation, I can’t accept such a kind of arrogance from a brand who speaks about rights, equality, better word. I don’t get “good vibes” from a brand who treats clients like this
