iPhone 11 call volume extremely low

When I received the new Iphone11 I too had the same issue on low hearing.

Just I removed the temporary protection sheet blocking the speaker.

It became normal.

My sincere suggestion is that Apple must print this info on the top of the temporary

protective sticker to avoid people getting disappointed unnecessarily with Apple!!!!!

Yup, I put the screen protector slot at the top of the screen and it no longer blocked the receiver. Can hear fine now.

Did you put a screen protector on? Is it covering the speaker at the top? You may have put the screen protector on upside down.

I finally went to service center and found that there was some dirt in my speaker, which i could not remove manually, hence the volume was low.

They cleaned it and my volume is as clear as new now.

Yeah. Got my Pro Max today and of course got a decent case and shield. I started messing with things (new Apple owner) so I thought I had messed up somewhere silly because I could barely hear anybody. Ohhhhhh it was silly, alright.

I put the shield on the wrong way, notch on the bottom. So in this case the issue was the lousy interface between my phone screen and my chair.

There are two reasons to this:

1) Your Phone is new and you have not removed the plastic cover

2) Some dirt in your speaker, get it removed by Apple support Store (ALab) or try yourself if you dont have access to ALab.

Wow!! Thanks for the suggestion. I was waiting to get a screen guard before removing the plastic cover and I went crazy trying to figure out why the incoming volume was soooooo low. Finally I read your reply and lo I could hear loud n clear!!!!

The article in the link posted by revbill222 advises removing all screen protectors, film etc.

Check you speakers on the bottem of the phone. I found that mine was full of gunk that piled up in the speaker holes.

I bought the new iPhone 11 and the call volume is extremely low. The phone cost a lot you would think it’s a good product I tried to increase the volume but still does not work. I have to use the speaker which not cool. Is there a FIX for this issue I would need to return this phone.

This is not a solve for me. Removing the plastic was the first thing I did prior to setting up the phone and using it. The volume is unusually low. I thought this phone would perform better than my iPhone 7 but sadly that is not the case. Very disappointed.

I am having the same problem. I bought the 11 Pro in October. I will be using it and suddenly the volume stops working; volume slider is all the way to max. The only thing that fixes it is re-starting, and I had to do that twice to get it to start working yesterday. I have never had this problem before, and I've had an iPhone going all the way back to iPhone 3. I need a solution!

There are two problems here.

1. people not removing the screen protector or putting a new one on wrong = easy fix.
2. none of the above apply to my situation, the iPhone 11 Pro has very low in call volume, same for listening to answerphone messages, switch to speakers and volume is fine. My wifes iPhone 7 also developed same issue recently.

Apple chat support unable to diagnose suggested Genius Bar, but no slots available!!

I Have reported it to Apple feedback but dont hold out much hope.
