Deleting Multiple Images in imessage

In iOS12 you used to be able to easily select multiple images in imessage to delete (hit "i" then go to photos, hold down...more, select all the photos you wanted to, hit delete), with iOS13 it looks like you have to select each picture, then hit delete, confirm delete attachment. Not only that you can only do this for one picture at a time, further attempts to select and delete pictures doesn't work. You have to leave the info screen, go back to the chat, rehit "i" and start all over. Is there a way to select and delete multiple images at one time with the new iOS?

I believe that this is the unethical reason why they removed such a useful feature. They want you to have to upgrade your storage by making it more time-consuming and difficult to delete multiple photos at once. I’m really starting to hate Apple update by update.

Again, you must assume I have ANYTHING to do with iOS. No one here works for Apple. This is a user to user ONLY forum.

Telling me you don't like something, get's you nothing. Complain to Apple, not me. All I can do is tell you what is available. If you don't like it, that's fine. But I'm not responsible for iOS functionality, so tell Apple using the link I provided above.

Rbrylawski Im going to recommend you don’t take things so personally and take a step back. When people including myself point out that your post is Not helpful it is because we want Apple to understand that the issue is not being solved in this discussion/thread, and that your suggestions specifically is not helpful. People will respond when your suggestion isn’t working deal with it. I and I’m sure everyone else has used the link you provided or contacted Apple in some form to raise this issue. If you’re going to take criticism personally then stop posting

If you want Apple to understand anything, this isn't the place to tell them. Apple isn't on this forum, as I've tried to explain. Apple isn't reading your posts. Apple won't do anything because you posted here.

So telling ME that providing the facts on how it works in iOS 13 isn't helpful is worthless and won't get you what you want.

I'm done here. You can moan and whine to each other or use the link I provided if you want Apple to hear you.

This helps. I forgot to mention this. Nice post, thanks.

I recommend everyone here still post the issue on Apple feedback. They do listen and maybe if they get enough complaints about removed features, they will bring them back. The thing that worries me is that it takes writing code which is a purposeful act to change the way things behave. That’s not terribly reassuring.

Wow I’m so happy I found this! I’ve been very cautious and I’m still on 12.4.1 on my iPhone 7.

Do you guys remember how long it took them to fix deleting the messages in iOS 12 in the info section in messages?!? It took till like 12.4. I was and still am so happy it’s fixed... but woah what?!? They took it away in iOS 13?! Ha! Yeah there’s another reason I’m sticking on 12.4.1 for even longer.

Hey R. Brylawsky, that’s not actually any good. Let’s say I have a message string with a friend that’s got 3,873 exchanges (we talk a lot). And we’ve sent between ourselves 137 photos. And I want to delete them to save space. If I try it your way I will be doing it all day, because I have to scroll through for ages and wait for each old section to come up out of the cache again before I can put the little dot next to the photos. By the time I’ve selected 7 or 8 photos, I’m so far up the chain that iMessage starts to forget the last ones I dotted. If I accidentally press on a photo too long, it pops up and all my selections get unselected.

Why don’t you guys just admit you messed up and put the “multiple select from info list” function back? Like my handle, don’t take away good features !!

Why don't you understand we guys DON'T work for Apple. I am a user as you are a user as is everyone else posting on this forum. NO ONE ON THIS FORUM WORKS FOR APPLE. So we guys didn't mess up as we don't have anything to with Apple or iOS specifically.

The way you can delete is so user unfriendly! If you want delete photo’s over a period longer than a couple days it’s a ****. It’s not even an attachment functionality, it’s a message delete functionality. We all love Apple, but you have to be critical. We pay a lot for the products. Everything they made should me user friendly, super easy, functional and logical..when we use a Apple device or service it must give user satisfaction!

You’re hilarious dude. It clearly says in the terms of use that Apple can edit and remove post as well as post directly to help people just not “formally provide tech support”. Also you’re the one getting super defensive every time someone says your suggestion is not helpful. Not sure why that’s so hard to accept. You’ve also clearly stated in this discussion that you’ve never used the thumbnail view for anything and “don’t even know what it is tbh” Hahahah if you want to keep crying about people not liking your suggestion go ahead, I’ll turn off my email notifications. AusCigaro has given a decent suggestion so I’m gonna go with that for now. Have fun living with yourself bryguy ;)
