iphone 7 and 8plus, since upgrading to IOS 13.1.2 has been sluggish and freezing.

I just came of support with Apple and they suggested to restore the iPhone from a Mac or PC. I did a restore before, but directly from my iPhone. Problem is that this does not reinstall the OS. So I did a complete restore from my Mac and reinstalled all my apps manually (don't restore a backup, so yes, it's a pain)...
My first impressions is that everything feels much snappier. I haven't encountered any freezes, crashes or delays yet. Even apps that were completely unusable before (Safari, AirBnB, Mail, all MS apps) are working fine now. Maybe it's too soon and the issue will reemerge, but for now, so far so good.
The support guy also stated that if you do a clean install this way, and you immediately get the lags and freezes, there's a hardware issue. But most likely it's some kind of issue in the OS that went wrong after upgrading from iOS 12.x to 13 and then again from 13 to 13.1
Yes this is happening to me right now and I am not able to get the white screen unfrozen...IOS 13 and it’s update has been the worst update of all the IOS...I hope Apple will help

Have you noticed these bad updates always come when they release a new phone????? It seems like a ploy to get people to just upgrade!!!! I wish they wouldn’t play games!!!!

Never before have I faced this....the phone just blanks out and hangs. It has become a useless device....Apple what are you thinking?? Is there any way to reverse IOS 13.1.2??
Same -- iphone 8. Freezes randomly. I was once bricked for several minutes, then miraculously it came back to life. This is horrible.
I refuse to believe I have to do a clean reinstall. That’s not a reasonable fix.
APPLE fix the **** problem with another patch.
I have a ipad fairly new but a 4th generation about a year old and i cant do shiz with it! I cant even type at the top bar when you pull the screen down
I get the spinning black screen too. My phone restarts and I have to enter my lock code again. I lost the place where I was at previously.
I to use my iPhone X for business, and this software upgrade makes my phone feel like it’s an iPhone 5. It’s so freaking frustrating

My iPhone 7 Plus freezes in apps. Have to re-boot. Then usually ok for a day or so. Never any issues until I installed the update!
I have same did the reinstall the find my iphone sign out and same crap. I'm ready for a feature flip phone.
A 5s at least works!
