iPhone 11 Bluetooth issues

i have multiple Bluetooth devices that will not pair to iPhone 11 pro max with 13.1.2

all devices connect fine with iOS 13 on my iPad. The issue is with the iphone 11. Previous discussion marked solved due to iOS 13.1 however the issues are not resolved after 13.1.2

anyone found a culprit, the iPhone can see the devices but will not pair, all resets, forget, etc. and been unhelpful and a waste of time due to the issue with the iPhone 11.

I have now returned my and my wife’s 11 Pro’s back to the shop. End of story and the end for the bluetooth issues... NOT!

Before returning iphones to the shop I had to make backup file because I had that 11 Pro over three weeks and I didn’t want to loose data from that time perioid.

I took my earlier iPhone 6S Plus, which was working properly, to use it again. I downloaded that backup file and ofcourse phone was forced to update iOS to the newest one. Everything seemed to be ok, until I got in to my car.... That fckn update transformed my phone to have exactly the same problem like I had with 11Pro.

Now my old 6S Plus is having this same bluetooth issue!!! Apple support don’t know how this is possible, how to fix it etc.

So thank you Apple for destroying my phone. Your company is now responsible to deliver me a properly working iPhone. ASAP.

If it were a software fix Apple would have made it by now. The idea that it is a hardware problem is consistent with Apple slow rolling the problem - the cost to remediate it will be stunning. A problem that they may not have yet considered is that call drop outs while driving are a distraction that could be considered a public safety hazard.

actually i disagree. specific bluetooth devices and bluetooth versions work just fine. other revs do not. this is a software issue, a firmware issue for the chip. the fw might be needing work from the chip vendor, we rally do not know. think about BIOS for example on a MoBo. same here.

There are clearly compatibility issues with iphone 11 over my old iphone 7, on same IOS versions. So this leads to a firmware issue.

Net net this IS a sw problem whether IOS, Firmware, Both.

Hey Apple-This will be my last iPhone. In a couple years good bye. I have a 1200$ iPhone 11, 512GB ram. This is inexcusable. your workarounds do not work.

-i have to Forget device on bluetooth v5.x

-my bluetooth v4.x devices are occasionanlly dropping

-my toyota truck crashes the entertainment system and freezes

-all above worked fine on iphone 7 same IOS revs

Potentially. However, this is also the first chip that was designed and made entirely in house versus through a third party so the likelihood of it being related to hardware versus software is extremely high. It is possible that this may be something that can be patched via software, but considering this hasn’t made that big of a splash yet I wouldn’t hold my breath. I’m honestly surprised there isn’t more media on this, since “Apple does bad” usually spreads like wildfire.

My iphone 11 pro has been working ok where BT is concerned. However, I only use it with Uconnect, and my sony headphones. My wifes Iphone 11 (non pro) has not played well with BT since day one. She has a Hyundai Veloster with no airplay, just simple bluetooth. It will connect with the iphone, but once you shut down the car, thats it... When she takes off the next day, no phone connected. She has to press the dial button on the wheel, then the car says there is no phone connected, and she has to pick her phone from the list, and then she is connected. Otherwise the 2 will not connect. On my jeep, it took over 10 tries to get her connected. It saw uconnect, but kept timing out. Finally it connected, but when she went to make a call, none of her contacts would work. With that said, if she uses carplay in the jeep, it seems to work ok. Hope Apple can fix this. Its the law that you cant be holding a phone while driving, and only a small percentage of people have carplay. On top of this, people will be messing around trying to get this working while driving, and could potentially cause an accident. it's 2020, phones and cars with BT should be way past the nursing period.

Here it is, late January 2020, and though my iPhone 11 Pro pairs to my 2020 Chevy Bolt via BT, I cannot use my iPhone to make calls. I receive calls and can use my contacts list on the Bolt screen to call out. But I can’t ask Siri to call. My old iPhone 7 worked fine. Now have iOS 13.3. Have yet to deal with AppleCare but that’s next.

I drove myself nuts doing all of the fixtures I read about until I found the very simple problem. When I bought my new phone I left my old one on and the Bluetooth on that was connecting to my Fitbit app. Once I turned off Bluetooth on my own phone and deleted the Fitbit app from it, I was immediately able to see my Bluetooth items on my new iPhone and everything connected fine.
