Hello, there was a problem after updating on iOS 13 (iPhone XR). On dark areas of the photo, stripes began to appear, usually green and yellow. This problem is also with friends with an iPhone

Me to last weekend me and my hubby did. We spent from 11:30 am until 3:30 there. They gave me a new iPhone XR and replaced his camera. We left. Got home. Mine still had lines. I went back today. They replaced my camera. These are the first pics I took in the parking garage after getting my “fixed” camera back. I’m so done with Apple. I get 1 day off. I told them since you guys did iOS 13. We’ve had the issue. Funny how 3 xr’s I’ve had in my possession did it. Pic is 5 mins after leaving Apple from the parking garage

Same issue here. I brought my XR to my local Apple store, and they changed the camera. Same thing happened. I brought it back in the following week, and this time they gave me a new phone. Walking out of the mall, I take a picture and guess what... Same thing. I went straight back to the store and was told they can't do anything and I just have to be patient, and that hopefully this will be fixed in the next software update, and in the meantime I should avoid taking pictures in low lighting or to sell it on kijiji. Wow thanks for the expert advice?

I'm so disappointed and I don't know if I want to buy iphones in the future. This phone was more than 1000CAD, at this price, I was hoping to keep it for a long time. This is ridiculous.

What was your fix? My hubby had it I had it. Aww ahs an appointment at Apple at 11:30 yesterday and they rebooted our system and we both still had it so they wanted to swap the camera lens out. So they did on his they gave me a replacement now my replacement has it too. So I spent from 11:30-330 at Apple and am no better than when I got there. I wondering if they are charging people for this? Seems like this issue if all these people have this I’m under warranty but not sure if everyone is. Ever since the iOS 13 update. I only get 1 day off so I spent last weeks day off at Apple and looks like this weeks day off at Apple.

I was having this problem too and assumed it was an iOS issue or an issue with the camera module. I went to the Genius Bar yesterday. They ran some diagnostics and then did a clean reinstall of the firmware (which they said somehow had become corrupted). This fixed the problem. To make sure they had me restore from my iCloud backup, and after that it was still working properly.

In summary, the reinstall of the firmware solved my issue. I still don’t really understand how my firmware had become corrupted in the first place. But the stripes on my HDR photos aren’t happening any longer.

It’s not that one mine. They replaced my phone and then did a lens replacement on my phone and reinstalled all the firmware etc. I’ve been to apple Genius Bar twice in a month and over 14 hrs there. And still have lines. When I left the last time. In the parking lot. I took a pic. I still had lines. I chatted with apple online they said it was a issue they were working on a solution. Yet I checked just now and still wasn’t able to get an advisor to give me an update. Highly disappointing and almost ready to trade in for a galaxy. My first iPhone and mine and my hubby’s both have/had these lines. After all the time I spent talking with each new advisor about the issue. Time in apple genius trying to get it fixed. It’s over a month and no one has answers. It’s crazy. My phone is less than a year old. Only like 8 months
