My lock screen shortcuts (photo and flashlight) don’t work when phone is locked. Saw a previous discussion about this from 2018, tried all those methods, still doesn’t work. I did the force restart, tried swiping left and right, also just updated to 13 today and they still don’t work after the update.

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. I see from your message that you’re unable to use the Flashlight shortcut on the lock screen. The latest iOS 13 update is iOS 13.1.2. In iOS 13.1.2 the issues where the flashlight may not activate and the camera may not work were addressed, as you can see in this article: About iOS 13 Updates.
If your iPhone is not yet up to date, be sure to have a current backup of your iPhone data before updating. Having a backup of your data is like having an insurance policy, you don’t plan on using it, but it’s great to have if you need it.
