MacOS Catalina Update Times Out
I get a message saying "The Request Timed Out; an error occurred while installing the update". I'm installing this over WiFi. Help, please.

So what I found out that works for me is going to the App Store on your Mac, then look up "Catalina" or look at the Updates section and download it from there instead of System Preferences>Software updates.

That didn’t work for me. Even from App Store. the download is always stopping at 2.53 GB...
Same with me, macbook air timeout on 500mb from the download, downloading from app store not working. Please share more solutions if you found something works for you!
Received the same message all day and now this evening Catalina is not showing as an update option. Mac Air (Early 2015).

same thing happened to me just now. You can find the update again from the app store but it's still not downloading...back to the first problem
