I need Snapchat or Apple to fix the quality for the front facing and rear facing camera because it looks so bad. It looks like Android quality. It looks fuzzy textured. Please fix this. It’s very irritating.

The reason you’re seeing a decrease in quality from before you take the picture and after is because Snapchat condenses the file (aka your picture). This is less noticeable on the smaller screen resolution’s which is why it used to work great, however, you have to give Snapchat some time to catch up. However, the issue I am experiencing is the front facing flash completely washing out my face and I look like Edward from Twilight. Probably an issue with the codec or how snap is processing your photos, but it’s extremely bad. Another thing I will mention is that Apple isn’t in charge, nor are they responsible for Snapchat or its bugs. If you want this fixed, you need to post on a Snapchat forum, not Apple’s forums. Apple isn’t going to push out a software update for better compatibility with a 3rd party app. I recommend reddit over this. As far as the grainy pictures go however, that is due to Snapchat compressing your images to make the file size smaller, in the same way that YouTube does it. Think about how big a file size is when you take a picture. Now multiply that by how many pictures you send a day, and then multiply that by how many people use Snapchat altogether. Snapchat can’t handle that from a tech perspective. I would say if you’re not having the flash issue, be grateful, and if you are, submit it to a Snapchat help forum or submit a ticket directly to Snapchat. Also, trust me when I say this, they are probably already aware of it. There has to be someone at Snapchat with an iPhone 11. That person is going to notice the same things your and I are noticing. Not a perfect situation, but just do what you can by posting where it will help :)
Same!! It looks great before you snap the picture, but after you do it looks blurry and un defined, it’s sooooooo annoying, if I had known, I wouldn’t have bought this iPhone 11! APPLE BETTER DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS
SAME!!!!! I want my 8 plus back. Looks pretty clear right before you take the pic, then once it’s taken becomes so much worse. Even the normal camera seems the same if not lower quality than my 8 plus. Also my front camera on facetime began flashing black and white. Even though my front camera works on every other app. So I can only facetime with my back camera. Also it’s passed the 30 days to exchange so Spring said basically too bad. This phone is too expensive for this.
It’s horrible like I go on my iPhone 8 Plus to take pictures. Why did I even get a new phone for the camera when it’s just a downgrade. It makes me look pure white u less I’m taking a video on Snapchat
I was really disappointed with the way selfies look with this phone on Snapchat. I love using snap for taking selfies and for messaging my friends. I was looking forward to this phone for the camera quality, yet it’s not compatible with the Snapchat app? It creates a very blurry and overly textured look when the photo is taken... my I phone 8 looked better than this. Hoping for a change pretty soon!
I agree, I just got my iPhone 11 today and when I take pictures on Snapchat it is to bright and grainy. It looks good before you take the picture. I really hope apple or Snapchat fixes this because it is very irritating!
Same!!! My iPhone 8 Plus had better quality pictures on Snapchat. Whenever I pull up the Snapchat app on my new iPhone 11 it looks great upon taking it...however, once I actually take it—-it looks blurry ughhh. 😭

its literally so bad, I upgraded from a iphone 7. its more of a downgrade.
SAME I thought it was just me. My iPhone 7 Snapchat quality was way better. Apple/Snapchat fix this ASAP. I didn’t upgrade to get a downgrade.

Just upgraded to iPhone 11 for the camera, which is great for taking normal photos but on snap chat it’s terrible quality. Why?! Please fix this!
Exactly!!! I’m also annoyed, the front camera looks bad and unclear. Its like im using an android. Didnt pay thousands for bad camera.
Yaa the thing is, its not only bad on snapchat, its bad using the camera itself. Like i get why it would be bad on snapchat but its also the same without snapchat.
