I need Snapchat or Apple to fix the quality for the front facing and rear facing camera because it looks so bad. It looks like Android quality. It looks fuzzy textured. Please fix this. It’s very irritating.

The reason you’re seeing a decrease in quality from before you take the picture and after is because Snapchat condenses the file (aka your picture). This is less noticeable on the smaller screen resolution’s which is why it used to work great, however, you have to give Snapchat some time to catch up. However, the issue I am experiencing is the front facing flash completely washing out my face and I look like Edward from Twilight. Probably an issue with the codec or how snap is processing your photos, but it’s extremely bad. Another thing I will mention is that Apple isn’t in charge, nor are they responsible for Snapchat or its bugs. If you want this fixed, you need to post on a Snapchat forum, not Apple’s forums. Apple isn’t going to push out a software update for better compatibility with a 3rd party app. I recommend reddit over this. As far as the grainy pictures go however, that is due to Snapchat compressing your images to make the file size smaller, in the same way that YouTube does it. Think about how big a file size is when you take a picture. Now multiply that by how many pictures you send a day, and then multiply that by how many people use Snapchat altogether. Snapchat can’t handle that from a tech perspective. I would say if you’re not having the flash issue, be grateful, and if you are, submit it to a Snapchat help forum or submit a ticket directly to Snapchat. Also, trust me when I say this, they are probably already aware of it. There has to be someone at Snapchat with an iPhone 11. That person is going to notice the same things your and I are noticing. Not a perfect situation, but just do what you can by posting where it will help :)
Just to note I just joined the Snapchat beta program(anybody can join in settings) and it seems to be improved on the beta a little already so I'm hopeful Snapchat is working on it.
Snapchat hasn’t optimized it settings to the new iPhones, it’s almost like it’s a screenshot of the camera instead of using the actual camera cuz ya know the 11 is higher quality

So now yall can finally see the real deal. Its not the android camera quality its snapchat not developing a decent camera settings for android. Because there are so much variations of android phones they dont have the time (or are lazy) to do so. So now the apple comes with a wider screen and it looks like snapchat ON android. They gotta fix that like i no long take selfies with snapchat because of this so im on your side of wanting them to fix this thrashy poor quality. But stop bashing on android their camera is just as fine as apple’s is.
Yes my iPhone 7 took better pictures on Snapchat then my iPhone 11. I believe it’s an issue with Snapchat because outside the app my iPhone 11 takes amazing pictures. Apple please get in contact and fix this issue.
Yep looks like crap. Just got the 11 and snap chat looks like crap. Way too bright and grainy. Looks good right before you take the pic then it looks like crap.

I want my camera not so orange and fuzzy and pale... I want warm flash and better focus and a better lighting. Like the older iPhones like the 6s ... I don’t like that Snapchats camera is orange and I can’t tap and have it focus into a better more realistic color. The iPhone 11s camera needs a update

Yea the iPhone 11 Snapchat camera is very very poor. It’s got to the point I’m debating going back to my iPhone 7. Apple really need to fix this pronto. This is the first time I’ve not been happy with my Apple purchase. Very disappointed.
I don't use snapchat, but although I have the video settings set to record in 4k, when I review the videos on my Macbook Pro, they look like they were recorded in 240p. My iphone 5 videos were better than this! Just got back from vacation and regret not using my Nikon or even one of my older iphones instead of my new iphone 11. Not sure if I have a bad phone, or if there will be a software update soon to fix this problem. However, I am EXTREMELY disappointed with Apple right now!
i agree , apple please fix this , my pictures are really bad quality and any other iphone is better tbh. i’ve been losing girls bec i can’t snap my face bec the quality makes me yellow . i know regular camera looks fine just tweaks on snapchat
Omg yesss I thought I was the only one but I guess not like don’t get me wrong i love everything about this phone its just the camera quality on Snapchat that is complete trash sorry to say but please Apple/Snapchat fix this it’s very frustrating.
