Removed case and glass from LCD as Apple Support want. Problem still persists. I found that turning ON VoLTE helps! As long as phone is connected via LTE there is no echo; when it switch to 3G - it starts echoing. My carrier told me to turn off VoLTE. That that's all what they can do...

I’m reading online that this issue with the echo/speakerphone seems to be resolved by the beta release of iOS 13.3.1 Beta 2 that was released today 01/14/20 to Apple developers. This will likely be the next update to come to the public so if your experiencing speakerphone/FaceTime/echo issues it’s likely this update will fix your issue. If not; it would be worth wiping your phone by erasing it back to factory settings and setting it up as new without restoring from an iCloud back- up. Simply signing into the device with your Apple ID and password should sync all of your iCloud data back, i.e. contacts, photos, Safari settings, Music, etc. If the issue persists beyond that you would want to get your device replaced. It would be highly unlikely that if you set the phone back up as new or even got a new device that the issue would continue after an update was released. Good luck everyone!

Same issue. I've noticed it happens when something/your hand is near the bottom of the phone. For example when I hold my phone so that my pinky finger covers the charging port, I get complaints of echoing. The second I remove my finger, it goes away. This is extremely frustrating because I can't place my phone down on a soft surface like a blanket while FaceTiming someone. Definitely exhausting to need to hold my phone up perfectly.

I'm starting to think this is a hardware problem. Apple isn't going to admit it unless this completely blows up.

One thing that I find to work is whoever you're talking to via facetime or speakerphone, is to turn down the volume on the phone that is the 11. If both phones are 11, turn them both down below 50% volume. The culprit is the microphone picking up the speaker. It's too sensitive.

Hi

I have the same issue and I talk to an Apple rep for about two hours. The rep said, and this did help a bit is to go to accessibility settings audio visual and toggle the mono audio to Patney and noise cancellation to off. Then, and I think this was the most helpful part, was to decrease the volume of the speaker to about 1/3. This seem to help a bit but definitely is a Band-Aid solution. Hope this helps anyone else but I do have an appointment at the Apple Store tomorrow to have them run some diagnostics. I’m also on 13.3.1 Beta however this also occurred on 13.3 setting up as a new phone. Very frustrating as it almost makes the speaker option obsolete for the time being

About 2 weeks ago, I posted an issue with iPhone 11 causing echo on the receiving end and audio breaking up do we could only hear every other word when on speaker. I FINALLY got in touch with APPLE support and through their troubleshooting, said I'd have to return the phone to be repaired and it would take 2 weeks. I told them that was not satisfactory and they they needed to send me a replacement phone and I'd send the defective one back to them. Apple doesn't do that under warranty, so in my mind, poor customer service for a high dollar piece of equipment. For a charge of $35 plus tax, they would send a replacement phone and they placed a hold on my credit card for $845 until they got the bad iPhone back. The replacement iPhone 11 seems to work a heck of a lot better than the one it replaced. Moving my info from one iPhone to the other was a snap, almost totally automatic. So my advice to everyone with similar issue, is to be persistent with Apple and demand the service you paid for and deserve.

I think I may have fixed the issue. So I followed the instructions to update to the latest iOS 13.4 as others have advised and I thought it worked. After my mother started to complain that she still hears the echo while I'm on speaker phone with her...I decided to close out all of the open apps on my phone while talking to her...and...Boom! Echo gone right away. So if Apple is looking at this..this is your fix on the next update. Please send a check to my apple ID..LOL

Good Luck Guys and I'm hoping this works for us all :)
