I had the same problem too on my iPhone 6s plus. Immediately noticed the power drain issue after the upgrade. And the iPhone is getting very hot.

The following setting changes seem to work for me. Hope that helps you all

  1. disable 'Optimized Battery Charging' in the battery setting
  2. disable most of the location service options as described in https://youtu.be/vO0QRxgAOP4
  3. disable 'Share iPhone Analytics' and 'Share iCloud Analytics' in Privacy setting
  4. TURN ON 'Limit Ad Tracking' in Privacy setting

My 6S has had issues since 13.1.2 update. From the MANY users who have given the EXACT issues I’ve experienced (and the charts in my Battery Health have the graphs to support what I say), Apple MUST recognize a problem and offer us a fix. I am a die-hard Apple fan, but I’m on the verge of buying a new MAC (because of update and battery issues on a 2014), and am SERIOUSLY considering bypassing Apple on the computer and —if I need one—on a new phone. My 6S was PERFECT, and overnight it needs replacement. Apple, this is something you did. Fix it!

This was in response to there nasty message they sent back not liking my post. this was also taken down. "Just posting the information so others are aware of what is going on. I have been in contact with Apple on this case several times and the case still is not resolved. Just posting so others know there is a software issue and it is not there equipment so they don't have to spend hundreds of dollars for new equipment when there equipment is actually fine. Thanks for your input. Have a blessed day."

I came to this question through the search. I have a two year old 6S and had upgraded to 13.1.2 with no noticeable battery problems. Then I did the next release 13.1.3 with terrible results. Each day I go below 20% power and put it on a charger. I have never had to do this with any of the three iPhones that I have owned. I optimized several settings as recommended in other post. I did get an improvement to 38% power left, but I did not use my phone as much today, so there may have been no improvement. Is there a way to go back to an earlier version? This is the last time I will load an upgrade as soon as it is out. I normally wait several months, but this upgrade had so much hype, I wanted to see it. Bad idea! (I did not upgrade the iOS on my wife's 6S and it is doing fine, despite being four years old.)

I have an iPhone 7 and have massive battery drain and running hot phone since the 13.2 update. Even my new phone is doing the same thing. It’s pathetic that apple hasn’t fixed this issue and is allowing it to continue to fester. I’ve tried every suggestion to no avail. In a matter of 5 minutes I watched my battery go from 100% to 73%. Just pathetic Apple!!!

I am guessing this is being done in order to force people to buy the new IPHONE 11 or IPHONE 11 PRO. This is sad. My friend had this issue with iPhone XS MAX and sold his iphone and his itunes account and went to SAMSUNG NOTE 10. I want the 6s plus for now but it seems these updates will screw up old iphones and magically the solution will be to buy new iPhone models? I am in store now looking at new note 10 even though i love apple

I understand you there. I do not want to stop being an apple customer at all. I am not anti apple or anti samsung. I am antibwasting my time or money. I gurantee if inwas to jump right into the new iphone this problem would be real minimum if at all for me. Then again i am guessing for those of us who arent dying to have the new iphone and are happy with older model i guess one way or another apple will get you either by new phone every year or quit using apple. I am all for whoever doesn't waste my time and who has the least models. I also dont like it when i feel things like this are happening just to make you get a new model every year. Its just my opinion that will not be explained to anyone or justified.
