mail slow to update in iOS 13

I just had issue with god ole iPhone 7. aol email was working fine until recent update ios13 .3.1! whatever email not downloading , not showing , error message at bottom . all kind of issues email totally screwed up . my solution was delete aol mail account then renter add it back with automated aol apple settings . it works fine and fast now., no problems now. I believe has something to do email settings that need to be updated too. hope this works for all people with this problem .

same issue as everyone described since the IOS 13 roll out in fall 2019. The only way for my Exchange (work email) and two personal gmail accounts to load efficiently is if I limit Exchange to only sync last 30 days. It is annoying when I have to look up an old email past 30 day old.

IOS 13 is killing the IPhone. For some unknown reason Apple doesn’t give two hoots.

The weird part is they’re making no effort to protect their brand and reputation. They’re behaving like a deer caught in headlights.

This email situation should be an absolute embarrassment to Apple, to have not cared to fix this issue for so long is just sticking a middle finger up to all their customers! Building an email app is really NOT that difficult, bearing in mind Apple have $250 billion in cash and some of the smartest employees on the planet it’s absolutely plain to see that they could fix this problem overnight if they wanted to but sadly they prefer to treat their customers with absolute contempt instead. Sad to see what has happened to a once-great company...

Apple, when are you going to do something about this? If you’re already on it then it would be sensible to let the community know so we stop bugging you about it.

P.S. The native Mail app for iOS 13.x also is *vastly* slower in opening, rendering and replying to e-mails than was Mail for iOS 12.x.

Again, no issues whatsoever with leading third-party mail apps.

I just updated to 13.2. The email performance seems to be much better.

Same problem here, Iphone XS, IOS 13.2.3, tried to reset network settings, it worked like for half day. Very frustrating and annoying. 13 is most buggy version ever for me.

It’s Dec 32, 2019 and iOS 13.3 and this email issue is still here and driving me crazy!!!! C’mon! Are all you guys on IMAP accounts?

We tried the deleting AOL mail and re-entering it twice now...... no change. It is still a screwed up mess.

Turned off your "Low power" mode and turned on "Background App Refresh" you can will get faster update of your Mailbox.

So, does Apple ever respond on these blogs?
