Is anyone else hearing like a static-crackling sound on their calls using the new iPhone? If I had to compare it to anything, it’s sounds like the call is on like Viber or some other Viop service. I tried downloading the new update, restarting the phone, doesn’t work. Any have the same issue or know how to fix it?
Resetting the network settings seems to have solved the issue for now indicating that the Portuguese operator may have already resolved the issue. These settings were already coming from my previous iPhone 8 (with zero issues regarding to calls) but for some reason they were giving this problem in the 11 Pro. I
'll wait and do some more testing to see if it's gone for good.

If I understand correctly, there seems to be some kind of noise when you are on calls. While this article says No Service, there are a couple things you can try that may be able to help.
If you can't make or receive calls on your iPhone

Update on this for my issue only -
I determined this was only occurring when using my first generation AirPods, so not the same issue as the original poster. I found another thread on that topic and replied there.

I have the same issue. Verizon has sent me a new phone. Didnt fix it. Today anew sim card. Did t fix it. Seems like when i call certain land line phones
I just bought the iPhone 11 and having the same crackling sound while on a call. It typically is worse while I am using Bluetooth in my BMW. How can I get this fixed?

No .... there are an increasing number of posts. Like you I have a 2012 BMW but have seen posts with audi, porsche, acura, subaru and others. Someone posted having the same issue in a 2015 vehicle.
Interestingly my iPhone11 phone call sound quality was good when tested in a 2017 BMW M2. And also I tested a different iPhone11 (Pro Max) in my BMW X3 and it worked fine!
Turning off wifi while driving did not help.
My phone is a iPhone11. The other one was a iPhone11 Pro Max. Only tried it twice but a week apart and worked both times. Maybe it is an issue that affects only some phones in some cars?
Apple, can you please confirm you are on to this issue before we all have to return our phones?
I have same problem when talk over Bluetooth in car , very frustrating, phone fir 1000 eur and you cat use this the way you like

There is update available ios13.3 which fixed this issue
