Battery not charging after macOS Catalina Update
Battery not charging after updating to macOS Catalina in my MacBook Pro.. Did the SMC reset but no change the issue.

As mentioned by @nicrankin I have plugged directly after removing all the laptop covers and casings which I have used to protect the MacBook Pro from scratches and it worked perfectly. I guess sometimes casings/ covers do not allow the plug to properly fit it even there are enough spaces for USB-C ports. Thanks for all the feedbacks.
Although this is marked as solved, it certainly isn’t one that worked for me.
I just updated my iMac to macOS Catalina yesterday and now my usb devices which I usually charge on it are not charging. iPhone charger is fine, but UE BOOM and Garmin watch nada.
Ugh. Sorry you’re the next victim.
Hang in there. This is a pain for sure. Possible software update coming?
Apple doesn't recognize it as an issue, so the chances they will be fixing it with a software update are slim.
I just bought a new Lenovo ThinkPad to replace this old heap of junk 2017 MacBook Pro.
Oh my God!! THANKS APPLE for destroying my less than 2 year old BTO MacBook Pro! Now its shot!
It is comforting to know I am not alone in suffering the loss of a device, MacBook Air 2017, after less than 2years of service.

I sent Apple a message...several times. And they never responded to my questions regarding this unless I call and get someone live. It's sad. Really sad. I like my MacBook Pro...But not like this.
I have a brand new 16" MacBook Pro preinstalled with Catalina and all Apple Factory Chargers.... Same **** issue: Created a YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/6J5ZuJJD7J4
Can we sue Apple.

I have the same issue. Have you contacted Apple about it? Sounds like more and more people have it...
same - i just installed 10.15.5 and my laptop drain from ~30% to 1% within minutes. now it's off and i cant seem to figure out how to turn it back on (Jun 2018 Macbook Pro 13')
Yeah, it's a bizarre problem and I haven't been able to pinpoint what's causing it. I'm on a late 2016 15" Macbook Pro, and this issue cropped up during the Catalina beta and hasn't resolved in the public release.
I purchased a brand new charger from the online Apple Store just to see if it was the charger, and it's not the culprit. I did a system check and here's info from that:
Model Information:
Serial Number: D866423A388HDWC4P
Manufacturer: SMP
Device Name: bq20z451
Pack Lot Code: 0
PCB Lot Code: 0
Firmware Version: 702
Hardware Revision: 1
Cell Revision: 3925
Charge Information:
Charge Remaining (mAh): 4073
Fully Charged: No
Charging: No
Full Charge Capacity (mAh): 6416
Health Information:
Cycle Count: 70
Condition: Normal
Battery Installed: Yes
Amperage (mA): -602
Voltage (mV): 11595
Even right now, it's not charging while connected to the charger. Sometimes a restart fixes it, but sometimes no change. I've tried all four Thunderbolt ports, but the results are the same. The scary part is that sometimes the device won't power on at all if the battery is drained completely for days, and then out of random it just seems to power back on, fully charged.
Probably going to purchase another USB-C cable to rule that out as a possibility as well. Hopefully something is figured out, this is really aggravating.
