My new iPhone 11 pro won’t turn on after charging it lastnight
How do I fix this ?
How do I fix this ?
Hi! Had the same problem this morning after having my phone charge through the night. Woke up, screen was black, did not say it was charging wouldnt restart. However, I found something online that said to do the following;
Press volume up button and release
Press volume down button and release
Now hold the power button until the apple logo comes on.
IT WORKED! After trying everything possible for an hour this finally turned on my phone and it was working like nothing ever was wrong with it.
Thank you! I came across this after I FINALLY got mine started again entirely by accident. It does this every time I do a complete shutdown. DEFINITELY some kind of issue that needs addressed. Had iPhones since very first, and this isn’t right. Hope Apple will address.
But why did this happen? Missed my alarm clock because of this and and was even more late because I had to google how to force restart the 11....why did this happen? Should I not charge phone overnight??
Yes, I understand it's an iPhone, I've had an iPhone since the 4. But I've also never had this problem and I got the phone yesterday...it was my first night with it and I depend on my phone for an alarm. It was just weird how it seemed to be vibrating while the screen was off.
I'm glad you made it clear for me, and others, that the press of volume buttons is to be "quick". I am the type to try different methods so I'd already thought of this but it's nice to see the experiemental idea confirmed by other people.
Hi, thanks for your message
yes its an apple charger that come with the phone.
its only on a morning after its been on charge over night that it does it.
ive tried all sorts, its just getting it active on a morning.
maybe just doesnt like my early starts,
the alarm goes off just takes ages of tapping screen, pushing buttons, holding it.
could it be the cold i wonder?
NikkiV128 - thanks your solution worked. I had the exact same problem. It was fine this morning after charging overnight then suddenly turned off. When trying to reset the phone I just had the spinning wheel on a black screen, but all sorted. Thanks again!!!
KoCo007,
I have an appt this Tuesday with apples for them to tell me what sorcery is going with it. I opened a case and they took the activation lock off my phone not sure why since it has nothing to do with the issue. I simply gave up till then. They would not refund my money since the 14 day pass and they schedule my appt out 2 weeks exactly a month after I buy it. I hope I won't be charge for this because it's already ****** to have a new broken repaired phone. I am sorry for your troubles, it sounds like u got a failed device like I did.
Thanks for the reply! Let me know what happens. We have had the phone for almost a year, so it's worked fine for several months. We are going to take it to a Sprint store today. Will let you know if anything happens.
eringilkes,
Those same instructions were on my first reply:--> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support
But glad you could work it out.
Regards
Giulio
Thanks taking the time to make sure I knew you posted first.
NikkiV128 saved my life! I thought my baby was gone. I thought I’d have to get get a new one. She saved me the hassle.
THAT WORKEDDDD!!!!!!
Helped me thank you for posting
Great post. thank you. As soon as my phone started a message stated that the IOS 13.3 had been installed.
I’ve received quite a few notification emails of people saying this is happening since I posted here. Seems common.
