Infrared Lights Always Flashing + Face ID

My iPhone 11Pro constantly sends out flashing infrared lights, in addition to a radar-like dish of infrared light from the right corner area, which I believe is the flash illuminator for Face ID.

The lights are ‘under‘ the illuminated screen, when on; near the ‘notch’; everywhere. Even when the phone is off. I have Face ID and all associated options off. I have called Apple and chatted with web support. They claim it is a hardware issue and I need to take it to the Genius Bar.

In low light I can see the flash Illuminator light on my iPhone 11 easily. I discovered them because I sensed my phone was odd somehow, and noticing strange patterns and connections based on what I was thinking when I was online. Only thinking. Not talking about.

Can an anyone help me? How can I get the flash illumiator off? It is like my phone has a retractor beam on it. It’s spooky.

Note: my iPhone 8, iPad and mini all had similar flashes when on.

Wow. I just wanted to not be flashed by infrared light all the time. I get attacked by you. No one else cares about this? No one else notices it? Clearly I am the only one who can see and has issue with the radar-like IR light.

Now Apple is taking down my posts claiming them to be inappropriate?

I am obviously asking the wrong questions to the wrong people. Your hostility is alarming.

Have a nice day.

I have told you why you can't turn it off. It's simple really. Because Apple does not provide a way for you to turn it off. People don't come here asking how to turn it off, because 99.999% of people can't see IR light, so it's a complete non-issue. And I never ever suggested you can't see the light. I just said most people on the planet can't.

I apologize for shouting. For anything else, you need to deal with Apple. No one here can tell you how to turn something off Apple has not provided a way to turn off.

I do hope you find the solution you're looking for. We just can't help you with this.

Nobody here has said you’re crazy nor cast any disparaging remarks your way at all. I don’t understand why you’re so incredibly defensive, to the point of being rude yourself?

But if you’re seeing these things with both FaceID and non-FaceID devices (you mentioned an iPad mini - non-FaceID capable iOS devices have no IR projection LEDs at all) then that is indeed rare and not normal - with the definition of normal merely being what the vast majority of users experience.

And yes, I do want the IR LEDs active as I use FaceID many times throughout the day. Having them on doesn’t bother me in the least and I am not even aware they are on.

And my point about views versus posts is that those 100 others who viewed this thread so no reason to post, not even to chime in with a “me too” response to your original post. That implies to me that they are not experiencing your issue so felt they had nothing to contribute.
