I had the same issue and I run softwareupdate with '--reset-ignored' on the terminal. Then it gets okay.
The actual command I run was
sudo softwareupdate -l --all --force --reset-ignored
But
softwareupdate --reset-ignored
Or
sudo softwareupdate --reset-ignored
would be enough.
That worked for me - thanks.
For some reason clicking on get was not working for me. It just used to show "Requested version of MacOS is not available" . But then after clicking on More... worked for me I am not sure why
Lanny, Software Update does have the Catalina upgrade listed. At least on my system. I'm still running Mojave.
jlguerrero I would suggest unchecking 'Automatically keep my Mac up to date'. Due to the issues we're seeing with this upgrade I'd wait until things shake out.
Worked perfectly with just "sudo softwareupdate --reset-ignored". After that, went to App Store and I was able to download Catalina.
