Keyboard in the App Store useless

Since upgrading my iPhone 8 to iOS 13 only half the keyboard shows up in the App Store. I changed my Apple ID password to only use half the keyboard but the submit buttons doesn’t work either and I can’t hit return making the App Store effectively useless.

the touch idea wouldn’t read so I need to type it.

teied creating a text replacement. Doesn’t work. Can’t paste into the field.

Hello iHaveBadAlias,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! I understand that you're not seeing the entire keyboard when used in the App Store after updating your iPhone 8 to iOS 13. I would like to start by collecting a few more details about what's happening, to help better point you towards a resolution.

Here are some questions that could be helpful to answer:

  1. Are you using a built-in keyboard or third-party keyboard?
  2. Does the issue occur when you switch to another keyboard? Add or change keyboards on iPhone - Apple Support
  3. From Settings > Accessibility, is Zoom enabled? Zoom in on the iPhone screen - Apple Support
  4. Do you see the keyboard issue in any other apps?

Cheers!

Hi iHaveBadAlias,

Thanks for getting back to us with the additional information. I would like to have you try the following next, testing if you're only seeing a partial keyboard in the App Store after each step:

  1. Force the App Store to close: How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
  2. Restart your iPhone: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
  3. Isolate if there are any potential hardware issues with your display following the steps here: Get help with the display on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

If you're still encountering the behavior after trying those steps, I would like to have you go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. This will revert any settings that you've customized or changed on your iPhone so you may need to reconfigure some of those settings again afterwards:

Return iPhone settings to their defaults - Apple Support

  • "Reset All Settings: All settings—including network settings, the keyboard dictionary, the Home screen layout, location settings, privacy settings, and Apple Pay cards—are removed or reset to their defaults. No data or media are deleted."

While you won't lose data in the process, it is always a good idea to make sure you have a backup of your device first:

Keep us posted on the results.

Take care.
