UPSB MacBookPro : thunderbolt power on failed

My macbook pro 15 (2019) is crashing throwing following logs after catalina upgrade.

Not sure how to fix this, i have tried solutions suggested by their support team but nothing worked. Option pending is backup and erase and reinstall from scratch which i don't want to do. I have heard about apple releasing fault OS releases and causing user's issue.

If someone has been able to found some fix to this probem, do let me know.

I reached out to physical customer support center and they have ordered new mother board for my laptop. Theu didn't my current one is faulty as their all tests passed but still ordered motherboard as replacement. Hope this will solve the issue.

I have exactly the same issue and same error message - either when leaving it untouched for a few minutes, or closing the lid to put to sleep... happens at random though so can't replicate every time.

Let me know if you are able to find any other resolution.

I have this exact same issue. My computer was running great on Mojave but as soon as I upgraded to Catalina I started getting kernel panics. I already erased and reinstalled Catalina and the same issue occurs. Even Mojave does the same thing. I think something has been upgraded at the firmware level that is causing this issue.

Hi

The same is happening here on my mbp 2017 13".

It's kinda annoying. i fold it and when i try to unfold it i recognized it was turned off and i have to log in.

happens since i upgraded to catalina …

any ideas on how to fix that?

I have received my system, using it over 2 days now. It's working fine. Service center replaced motherboard and touch id power button.

I hope this goes well. Facing bit of heating issue while viewing videos not sure if that's something to be worried about for now.

Installed recent update released by apple and problem now become more of leaving system inactive for a while and it wakesup and restart with slightly different logs.

I really annoying and i have tried multiple methods mentioned in various new and older forums. Don't know if there is any good solution without visiting service stations.

After even more troubleshooting it appears to be related to the device coming out of sleep mode. If I turn off sleep mode completely my computer will no longer kernel panic.
