Can't choose a song as an alarm

Ever since updating to iOS 13, I can no longer choose music as an alarm sound. If I choose a song, it defaults to the Radar sound. I've tried different songs, different alarm times, etc. Even after the last few updates to iOS 13, nothing has changed. It's maddening!

Hi there, Hondamaker10.

I see that you're no longer able to play a song as an alarm sound in the Clock app of your iPhone. It reverts to a built-in tone instead, and I'm glad to help.

Redownload apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books -- If it's a song you purchased from iTunes, try re-downloading the song and test.

Add and download music from Apple Music or the iTunes Store -- If you subscribe to Apple Music, you need to download the song file to your phone as the Clock application can only play downloaded music.

Let me know how that goes, and take care!
