AppleCare Exclosure Damage definition?

I have a question regarding the definition of exclosure damage that is covered by AppleCare+. I've searched everywhere but could not find a satisfying listing. If say my laptop is full of dings, scratches and nicks and need a full encasing replacement, would that easily fall in that category? Would a crack on the Touch Bar be considered an exclosure damage?

Thanks in advance!

Hello Morning_Owl.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

If I'm understanding correctly, you have some questions regarding AppleCare+ and how the physical condition of your MacBook Pro would be classified. This is a great question.

The best way to obtain a proper assessment of the condition of your hardware, is to have it inspected by an Apple Authorized Service Provider or Apple Store.

If you have AppleCare+ it will cover a large portion of accidental damage.

https://www.apple.com/support/products/mac.html

AppleCare+ (similar for iPhone and iPad, each incident of accidental damage) for Mac will carry its own price tag. Screen damage or “external enclosure damage” will run $99 per incident, while other damage, including water damage, will run $299. Users receive coverage of two incidents under AppleCare+, and after the two incidents have been used up, out-of-warratny replacement rates will apply
