IOS 13.1.3 battery drain

Well I guess another update, another waste of time as the bugs on the iPhone XR are still there. Weird battery drain. IT SHOULD HAVE MORE THAN A DAY'S LIFE OF BATTERY. I had to change my device for another one and its the same problem. When will apple wake up and start fixing this important battery drain issues. Apple support is stating a ' Hardware Problem' No I don' think so as everyone is complaining on these pages about how bad the software is and need a fix. My battery is at 100% capacity. It is a problem with the SOFTWARE. Also stop sending us links to apple's pages about lithium-ion batteries and how they work, battery performance etc... ITS A NEW PHONE. We need this fixed. Especially on the iPhone XR which should have more than a day's battery life!!! WAKE UP APPLE!! WE BUY PRODUCTS WITH A LOT OF EFFORT FOR SPENDING MONEY AND WE GET THIS IN RETURN. I know I'm angry but I've just had enough of this nonsense!!! :(

Ever since 13.1.1 my iphone7 will drain out even when powered off and being plugged in to power. 13.1.3 did not fix the problem. This is a serious ios bug. Once charged to 100% the phone will also require rebooting 5-10 times where the battery indicator will show almost 0% and the show 100% on reboot and bice versa. i have the screenshots to prove it.

What makes the phone drain out within an hour despite being plugged in and turned off???

What about this then.

With no Apps open my iphone 7 was showing 62% battery.

I hard booted the phone and it came back on with 89% battery.

On another matter, is it necessary for some of the posters on here to be so aggressive and rude to other forum members?

Each one of us are experiencing issues with our phones and batteries which may be similar, the same or otherwise.

Nobody has the right to be offensive to others on here.

However, what is clearly missing on this forum is absolutely any response whatsoever from any Apple technician or representative.

So, what is the point of this forum if nothing being recommended by any member, is resolving the issue?

Finally, to the poster who had a dig at another forum member who Posted a video link rather than laboriously type out the steps, shame on you!

I agree with my fellow friend Lokgeetin. We are all trying/ attempting to solve this issue rather than stating steps that have been already said “ Go to Apple Store ( they won’t help and many people don’t have the time to go to the Apple Store“

“Check battery health percentage”

“Rogue apps may be the problem”

“small amount of IOS devices”.

If apple don’t fix issues then “many” not “all” will lose trust. That’s just how it is.

Rather than contradicting me and others by linking posts and saying stuff that don’t make sense. You are a level 10 user. I agree you may have more intelligent answers and expertise in this topic but you don’t really show a lot. (I’ve contacted Apple Support - they would say the same thing ) I know this is a user to user forum but surely this post has made an affect in the forum and across the internet. Although, it’s not made a big difference there is “hope.”

I agree with Lawerence the point of the forum seems to be for Level 9 \ 10 to say go to a Genius bar rather than acknowledge there is a problem and correlate any practical suggestions. My solution each time my iPhone goes into meltdown is to tuen it off till it cools down then it appears ok for a few days. Waiting for an IOS solution to the problem, I won't be updating so quickly in the future that's for sure.

I am also having this issue, but I also noticed that with this update settings are automatically Turing themselves on. I turn off cellular since I am almost always connected to WiFi and do not want my data plan to go over. I also do not use low power mode in battery settings or Bluetooth. I find that all three of these keep getting turned on by themselves. I have had to start monitoring these settings, as I notice my battery drains quickly.

I’m facing same problem, battery is draining like anything after updating to 13.1.3. One thing I observed location services are getting turned on automatically even all apps are closed. Apple should fix this problem and roll out updated version ASAP. Otherwise we need to put a power bank to mobile 24/7.

What you need to  sort out is the battery management software on your recent 13.2 (17B84) updates.

My battery drains quickly but more importantly, how does a 100% battery drop to 2% in less than an hour.

Then, hard reboot the phone and come back at 85%

Impossible.

You have a software problem and you need to fix it otherwise, you will lose confidence and customers will (like me) buy another phone from another provider.

Apple is well aware of this problem.

You have a team of specialist engineers. Fix this problem quickly please.

Exact same issue on iPhone 7+. Thought I was going mad, as had no issues with battery, and always got a day and a bit of usage out of my phone from charge. Now all of a sudden its dropping massive chunks of battery life when its not even being used. This morning, only had my phone charged to 75% (8am), checked an hour later after no use and it dropped to 40%, now at 1.30pm (been hardly used) its down to 4% and about to die. Yet according to my battery stats, only used the phone for an hour today (screen on time).

Terrible update. Hope they fix it, as phone is as good as useless at the moment and its my work phone.

I have an iPhone SE, 128GB. Under iOS 12 my phone battery health reported 91% battery life, with the battery lasted nearly two days under typical usage, and I could get one full charge from my favorite battery pack before it drained to one bar (plugged in to the wall with an Apple charger, a full charge would take more than four hours).

Upon upgrading to iOS 13, my phone immediately dropped to a health of 88% battery life, I began getting 4-5 "full" charges from that same battery pack, and it would only take about an hour and a half for the phone to report 100% charged. Additionally, once I hit 30% charge, the phone will loose a percent of charge every 15-20 seconds till it's drained a few minutes later. Long story short, I need to charge my phone 2-3x per day even if all apps are closed and I'm not using the phone at all.

iOS 13 broke my battery. This change was not gradual, it was instant--on iOS 12 I got nearly two days of battery life from my phone, upon upgrading to iOS 13 my phone instantly required 2 to 3 charges per day.

Also, bluetooth sucks too, now--people only hear parts of each word I'm saying after a few minutes into the call, and I end up having to switch to speaker phone.
