Photo app crash/quit when airdrop

iPhone X with iOS 13.1.2 & 13.1.3(just upgraded).

I want to airdrop a few photos from my iphone to my macbook (running Catalina) via airdrop, every time I click the target device after selected photos, the Photo app just quit it self, regardless it's single photo selected or multiple. One thing I noticed though, this issue seems only associate to those photos synced from another Mac computer (my home iMac), in other word, airdrop the photos taken by this iphone to other devices didn't have problem, only if when I tried to airdrop those are synced in.

Tried reboot, upgrade iOS, nothing helped.

Any suggestion ?

No help but I have the same problem with phone and ipad on 13.1 but Catalina works.

You will find Airdrop, Mail, messages, Whatsapp etc all crash it.

For other apps like messages Whatsapp and mail you can open the app then insert a photo from the sync'd library but I have no idea if you can "open" Airdrop to do the same workaround.

I have the exact same problem. This happened after the Catalina upgrade. The Photo app on my phone crashes only with photos that are synced from my Mac and not with those taken on the phone itself. I think it is a bug that needs to be fixed with Catalina.

I kind of suspect iOS 13 more than Catalina. I tried to airdrop synced photos to other iphone (on iOS 13.1 too) and ipad (on iPadOS), same problem occurred.

It appears whatever I did to synced items Photo app just not going to execute instead it kills itself..
