Apple Pay is asking for verification but I don’t have a old number anymore

I’m trying to set up Apple Pay on my new device and it’s asking me to do the verification but I’m not able to do it cause I don’t have a old number anymore

Apple pay verification I am trying to set up Apple pay. When i get to the section for verification phone number it is set to an old phone number i no longer use. I have checked and updated my icloud account details which only contains my current, correct number. There is no option to choose an alternative verification method nor update the number. Any help appreciated.

Verify a card for Apple Pay, but verification phone number is old/incorrect I tried adding a card to Apple Pay. When it comes time to send a security code to verify my card the phone number is old. So when I go to Apple Pay to change/add my new number, it is already in my account info and my old number is not. Tried signing out and back in, same thing. Very weird. Help please!

Did you go here already? - Get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication - Apple Support
