Mail - smart mailboxes and rues no longer work.

I cleaned out old preferences and rebooted. For whatever reason, it started working. I had MailTags Beta installed and I think that was interfering. I removed all of the SmallCubed mail add-ons and hat seemed t work. I have now started adding mailTags back in and it seems to be working OK.

I find now that Flags sometimes work and sometimes don't. Flags are working on my iMac but bot on my MacBook Pro.

I use a mail plugin called SmartCubed MailSuite. It allows mailtags, enhanced mail rules, etc. That seemed to be causing some of my problems. I removed it entirely, reinstalled an updated version today, and most problems went away.

Sometimes the flags disappear. A new feature in Catalina and iOS 13 is color coded flags across all devices. That has been flakey and I suspect it has to do with Apple's syncing, something we have no control over. My guess. They are tweaking sync functions on their iCloud servers.

iCloud still is a dog for live updates like DropBox and I thought that was to be improved. Hasn't happened yet.
