Problem with imported Numbers '09 file

unfortunately, the very printing capability of Numbers '09 was not kept in the newer versions. You can post feedback to Apple using the Numbers menu item "Numbers > Provide Numbers Feedback"

The two apps share the same name. But they're really very different, with one being a decade old, now defunct on modern MacOS.

I no longer even own a printer, but if you depend on precision printing of output (as opposed to displaying on a mobile screen or whatever, where it's easy to zoom in and out) then Numbers is not a good choice.

If you want to print only part of a table (the dates covering the latest electricity bill):

• select and copy the rows of interest;
• insert a new sheet and delete the default table;
• Menu > Edit > Paste (or Paste Formula results if those rows have formulas that depend on the original table);
• Print only that sheet.

I m not saying I know. My experience with Numbers leads me to believe that Apple made these changes internationally and not out of any sort of goof up. you can post feedback using the Numbers menu item "Numbers > Provide Numbers Feedback"

Curious, have you found a back foot way to monitor suggestions to Apple? If not why would you make a unsubstantiated statement like that?

I think you’ll find Numbers overall is a better app than it was a decade ago. Addressed quite a few items that have been raised.

Anyway it’s your choice.
