iPhone 11 Pro Live Photo’s don’t move

My Wife and I both have iPhone 11 pros, and the Live Photo’s we take on the phone do not move when you swipe between photos? My old live photos from all my other phones still move when you swipe between them in iOS 13, which makes me think it is an 11 pro issue. It does take a Live Photo, so when you press and hold the 3 sec or so of video plays, but swiping between photos does not do anything but show stills. Does anyone else have this issue? Was this a change to the phone or iOS? Seems like Apple wouldn’t take away a feature for a phone called pro, and it was one of my favorite.

That was it! It works now. Photos taken on my iPhone 11 with ios 13.2 now preview on swipe! Yay! But those taken with 13.1.3 still do not. But, I'm happy now. Thank you so much for sharing! And, thank you Apple for responding. c

Or more reasonably wait for a software update. At this point you’ve determined the issue to be purely software and downgraded to the old phone, only for a future software update to be released that brings the feature back.

Well it looks like exactly that happened after reading ahead but this isn’t just hindsight...

A similar thing happened with iOS 11 or 12 where they removed FaceTime photos as an option until a point update. Sometimes things are removed from the base OS to be reintegrated when it’s more stable.

There is also Apple.com/feedback to request features be returned.

It’s everyone’s own time to use it as they see fit, but in the future I suggest patience or submitting feeeback. Maybe wait a few months after the device release to see what early adopters are dealing with, or live with it until updates come out to repair broken features. Or return the device of course.

I’m curious if those that returned devices for this ended up buying again.
