Ringtones and Catalina

I just added a ringtone to my iPhone using this bizarre technique:

"Add ringtone to device, macOS 10.5 [sic] Catalina

Connect your device to your Mac, and open the general tab for it in Finder.
Drag and drop your .m4r file from another open Finder window to the general tab."

It worked but I can't believe this is the official handling for Ringtones. Where are my custom ringtones listed in Catalina?

You can still add tones to your iPhone after the latest update. Just wait until it’s finished syncing.

I’m getting use to the new system, Apple doesn’t often make full mistakes.

Unable to do this on macOS 10.5.2 and Music 1.0.2.37; however, if I connect my phone and select it in Music, I can successfully drag and drop custom ringtones.
