IMESSAGES AND FACE TIME GREYED OUT

I have just purchased and activated my daughter ipad. She has her own apple ID under mine.

Both the imessages and facetime buttons are greyed out in settings.

She cannot access either.

WI-FI if activated and working fine.

How do I get these buttons to activate

If you are using Screen Time, you may have disabled the ability to make account changes on your daughter’s phone. You should check that setting.
