Since updating to Carolina the subject app keeps appearing on my desktop and tells me to trash
the app, Anyone else have this issue? On MacBook Air

I believe the prontoapp is malware or adware and needs to be removed from your Mac.
A little more detail of what the app is: the ProntoApp is advertised as a program that will improve the way you
search the Internet. It might sound like a useful service but the app can be intrusive and will display advertisements whether you want them or not.
Are you able to trash the application manually?
To make sure all traces of the application are removed, you can download a free copy of Malwarebytes for Mac and run it. It will scan your Mac for Malware and remove it for you.
Also, it's MacOS Catalina, not Carolina :)
