Ios 13.1.3 update removed voicemail

One two of our phones, both iPhone Xs, when IoS updated from 12.X to 13.1.3, there is no voicemail listed in "Voicemail." That is, when you click the green "phone" icon, then on the lower right, the "Voicemail" icon. The icon that is in row with "Favorites," "Recents," "Contacts," "Keypad," and "Voicemail."

If i dial voice mail they are there, how do i get it back? This is very inconvenient to say the list.

Thanks.

Here are my two cents. Bottom line - I had this issue and it’s now resolved.

I’ve been with AT&T for over 20 years. Every iPhone I’ve had, back to the original iPhone in 2007, has been with AT&T.

In addition to the recent iOS 13.1.3 release, nobody has mentioned that AT&T issued a cellular update (to version 38.1) late last week.

Anyway, I called AT&T after my visual voicemail disappeared for the first time ever a few days ago, and standard remedies like Reset Network Settings did not help. AT&T rebuilt my mailbox. It turned out I had one saved message in the old mailbox, and the technician asked if it would be OK if I lost that, and I said that was in fact OK. It turned out the message actually re-appeared in the rebuilt mailbox. When rebuilding the mailbox, a new passcode is required. My old passcode was four digits, but now AT&T requires at least seven digits! I had a previous custom greeting. That was lost and I had to re-record it (or use the default greeting).

Anyway, this all occurred about 24 hours ago, and all is still working fine.

This may help you all to decide it's likely as a result of an AT&T Visual Voicemail software failure issue this month. I have NOT updated my iPhone 6S yet. (still intentionally on Ver. 12.4.1)

From past bad experiences, I usually wait at least 30+ days when a new features laden update comes out for Apple to sort out the new glitches & bugs.

My longtime, many years old AT&T Visual Voicemail has completely disappeared all this week for the first time, with me still operating on the old version 12.4.1 iOS.

I too only get the "Call Voicemail" rectangle and all months back of my past voicemails farther back than the past 10 days IS NO LONGER THERE.

So, this AT&T Visual V.M. potential carrier update (as a possible reaction to being compatible with iOS 13) or AT&T V.V.M. display failure may actually be coincidental & totally unrelated to the Apple iOS 13.1.3 update. Hope that adds another troubleshooting clue for y'all. -DieselGlider

Same thing happened to me and my husband, and other friends as well. Here’s what my voicemail page looks like. (See pic below)

I called ATT they are “aware” of the problem but no resolution at this time. First day when I clicked on “call voicemail” it said “sorry but this service is not available try again later”. Now 3 days later I can retrieve voicemails IF I call it throughout the day, but I still don’t know if anyone has left a message.. and the page is still blank showing (call voicemail).... I’m considering uninstalling the iOS 13 update.. since this only happened after that, don’t know if that’s a good idea or not. Any thoughts? Otherwise keep waiting this out I guess!

My husband has an iPhone too, we live in the same area, same carrier, and same plan, on the same bill. He has NOT done the 13.1.3 newest update. his voicemail works fine. My voicemail was working fine too, until I just did the update. It might be a problem with ATT, but it is ALSO related to this update. Otherwise, my husband's voicemail would not work either, but his still works fine and I suspect his will continue to work fine, UNTIL HE DOES THE NEWEST UPDATE. So explain to me, how that is NOT RELATED at all to the update?

I did my update a few days ago and found this issue. My wife had not updated and her visual voicemails where there. She did update last night and now they are gone. Interesting how the update triggered a so called "AT&T" issue. I think it is a game of point the finger. It would be great to just have someone step up and "fix" the issue.

I absolutely hate the new update. I can't see past text messages and I change my voicemail greeting on a daily basis, and now I can't do that. Please help! I need to change my greeting asap. This is ridiculous. I'm sure there are many other things that I won't like, but this is over the top. I really liked before when you didn't have to call the voicemail to hear your messages. Also I have very important voicemails on my phone and also sentimental ones, that I really hope I didn't lose with this new update :( I have never posted on forums, this is a first because I am so upset.
