Calculator is using indian digits, while system is set to use Arabic digits, a bug probably?

I set my language system setting to Arabic (Algeria, North Africa) with digits forced to Arabic ones.

However, MacOS calculator is still using Indian digits (Like for Middle East)!

Is there a way to set MacOS calculator to use Arabic digits?

If not, how to report such bug?

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.15

Hello sneetsher,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I understand the macOS Calculator app is using Indian digits instead of Arabic ones. I'll do what I can to help.

Here are some suggestions:

@i_rina Thank you for reply

  • Setting are rechecked and they good
  • Tested another user, still the same issue.
  • Tested safe mode, still the same issue.
  • Recovery that not an option for me right now, this is a production machine.

I still believe it due a bug in calculator tool itself. As you can see pictures, number on pad does not follow system digits format preference, but its display does.

Thank you, I use last setup as workaround meanwhile. (Calculator, locale forced to English). BTW, that link for Apple Support does work at the moment .
