I’m unable to login with my Apple ID on Fire Stick

Hi, according to amazon support Apple TV+ on amazon fire stick is only available in "US, Canada, UK, Germany, India, France, Italy, Spain". So it is not going to work if you live in a different country.

I think that apple should be more transparent with this. I've bought fire stick to watch Apple TV+ which I have free for a year, but since I live in Ireland, Im not able to watch it on Firestick .

I ran into the same issue on Oct 30 with the Fire Stick 4K. To resolve it here is what I did. Go to Settings>My Fire TV>About>check for update. Follow the instructions to perform update (It took three times doing this to get all updates installed). After that sign on was a breeze. Did not have to do a factory reset.

This is a good piece of advice to try.

i hadn’t tried checking for updates, believing (foolishly?) that the device must auto-update.

However after doing a factory reset it did update itself, so manually checking for updates could save time and trouble.

I was just on my way here to post that same question. The Amazon forums say to make sure the Fire TV is updated and then restart it and wait a full ten minutes before starting the Apple TV app again. That didn't work for me.

I think I've figured out the problem. What it seems like the problem is from what I can tell is that the people who are having issues have FireTVs that aren't running the latest software. I guess there's something that AppleTV needs there to work. Amazon's own instructions say to update. No matter how many times I try to update it, mine says FireOS 6.2.6.5 is the current version. However, Amazon's FireOS page says we should have FireOS 6.2.6.6 and you can't force it to update.

All day yesterday the stock said that 6.2.6.5 was the latest and I was stuck.

upon reading your post this morning, I searched for updates again and it found the 6.2.6.6.

interesting enough, even after that and rebooting, I had to search for updates and I had to update internal components twice.

and then I could finally signed in

The same for me... I upated and factory reset the Fire Stick 4K on yersterday afternoon (when I wrote to the forum) and the software was 6.2.6.5 .

Done the same on this morning and the firestick updated to 6.2.6.6 and have to update the internal component twice too to let it work.

I am having the same issue, I have tried factory reset and still not working.

I suspect this may be an issue with two factor authentication, as I had a similar issue with my Apple TV box. When trying to log on to Apple TV on the fire stick, your Apple device is supposed to send a notification and give you a code. If you enter your password again with that code at the end, it should log in (it did with my Apple TV box, but I want it to work on my fire stick!)

so when I’m trying to log in with my AppleId on the fire stick, I’m not getting that notification on my phone with the code- I don’t know why not, but I’m convinced that this is the problem!

No it has nothing to do with the 2 factor authentication

As soon as I was done with the updates and I tried to sign in, I received the code

if you are not on the firmware 6.2.6.6, wait a daw hours and try again, the global roll out is slow.

Warren63's instructions worked for me but the following step needs to be added. Reboot the fire stick after completing his steps. Go to setting>MyFireTV>Restart then wait an additional ten minutes to open the AppleTV App and try again.

How do I play the Apple TV on my tv with fire stick? It’s won’t let me sign in. It’s been buffering for 2 days when I tried to sign in on tv. When I tried to sign in on my iPhone it says verification fail there were errors wait a moment and try again.

I had this problem too, a factory reset of the Fire TV stick fixed the issue.
