macos catalina 10.15 vpn connection (Cisco IPSec?) duplicated icon in menu dock

The problem is on the screenshots below.

Only one (Automatic) network location
Four network interfaces: Ethernet, WIFI, work (VPN), private (VPN).
Problem: on VPN icon from menu dock drop down list Cisco VPN interface (work) is duplicated.

Recreating VPN interface (Cisco IPSec) even withe different name doesn't help.

The second problem is that after deleting Cisco IPSec connection, I get a empty list in a drop down menu even if other VPN connections exist (e.g. IKEv2).

Anybody with same problem?

Any ideas how to fix?

I started to see this on Catalina. Now I reconfigured the same tunnel with the same parameters and is not working...

Clean installed Catalina on my MBP. Created the VPN connection from scratch. Same duplication issue. I thought it was some kind of weirdness from upgrading to Catalina.

It is not fixed. It comes back. Right after reboot it seems normal though.

I can confirm that [for me] 10.15.2 does not fix the duplicate vpn issue :-/

pundit, it is not true. You have not validated it properly. Use it for a while and you will notice it is back.

What do you mean with "old" VPNs, i recreated all my VPNs on a brand new Macbook and the issue is there.

I'm still having this issue with 10.15.3. Have also tried the workarounds discussed above but they're all temporary. Would be great to have a fix at some point.

Same problem here in 10.15.4 ... probably seen by Apple as a minor issue....
