how do I stop my Iwatch from lighting up at night and waking me up?

Is there a way to keep my watch from lighting up at night? I want to wear the watch at night to monitor my heart rate but when I move it lights up and wakes me up. Very annoying.

You can put it in Theater mode

Swipe up and tap on the double face icon.

I like having my watch on silent mode in the day and I'm perfectly happy for alarms/timers to stay silent when I'm awake because the vibrations are enough. I'm aware that silent mode doesn't silence alarms when the watch is charging but of course I want to wear the watch at night for tracking. Scroll up from the bottom of the watch face. Tap on Theater Mode (the two faces button).

That will keep the screen from lighting up. Turn off Theater mode in the morning.
