Kernel Panic after upgrade to 10.15.1

Dear all

I was very pleased with Catalina, but yesterday after upgrading to 10.15.1 I continuously get Kernel Panic on my MP6.1.

Sometimes it happens after wake up from sleep, sometimes after safari browsing.

I have two thunderbolt 2 external raid attached.

Please find below the KP log. Can someone help me reading it?

My 2015 27" iMac routinely has the Kernal panic in the morning after doing "whatever it does" at night. No (obvious) crashes or restarts during regular use. The only thing I have connected to it is a USB 3 Time Machine drive. I'm not running any Thunderbolt devices or any Norton products--that I'm aware of. I do not nave power nap enabled--only Put Hard Disks to Sleep When Possible.

I suffered through this for several days. Catalina is just not ready for prime time and is a mess. Called apple support and after the usual stuff , start in safe mode, reset stuff.. the bottom line was to uninstall catalina. Very annoying.

While I was at it I ended up doing a dual boot and reinstalled mojave on one partition and windows 10 on another. Windows 10 is a far more superior OS and I never had crash problem like I had with Catalina. Will use mojave when I need to use facetime etc for apple ecosystem of apps and know that can bank on windows then macOS crashes.

:). well you read most of it. Anyways my intent was not to kickoff a Mac vs windows conversation, I use both OS. It is just that catalina has been a horrible operating system and windows latest is rock solid. I wanted folks to have the guidance for alternatives. Nothing against any of the companies, I don't own either of them, just need a stable OS.

Just upgraded to 10.15.2 and see they failed to fix the problem.

Can't let my Mac Mini go to sleep anymore, have to turn sleep off else it reboots EVERY SINGLE TIME, even after a few minutes of sleep.

Tried everything: Power Nap off, HDD sleep off, Network Access off, disable hibernation, deleted hibernation file, turned hibernation back on, SMC reset ... as long as sleep or hibernation is enabled it reboots when going to sleep/into hibernation.

And can't do an NVRAM reset by the way, not even by connecting the Apple keyboard with a cable.

Only thing that seems to help is unplugging everything Thunderbolt but that leaves me with no external data disk, no backup disks and no display-port, only HDMI possible but then I have no HDMI to the TV. I can't remember to read in their marketing you have Thuunderbolt 3 but shouldn't use it.

Calling support is useless as well, you get a genius that only knows two words: "clean install". I fixed five problems myself they recommended clean install for and don't have time to reinstall my computer on a weekly basis.

MacOS Vista is what they should have called it.

Sleep panic is still happening for me with 10.15.2.

Since this thread started, I’ve bought a 16-inch MacBook Pro, and it also panics on sleep with my Thunderbolt 2 drive enclosure connected via a Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter.

It’s a Mobius Pro 5C five drive enclosure, with five 4TB Toshiba drives concatenated into a single volume via JBOD. I’ve tried both APFS and macOS extended journaled formatting with sleep panics in either case.

So no Magic trackpad, Magic Keypad or Apple Airbuds can be used with Catalina in your case.

Here it's only disabling sleep (hibernate or not, doesn't matter) that needs to be turned off.

By the way, in pmset, does anybody know what "highstandbythreshold" is for? Mine is set to 50.

And whats the difference between sleep, standby and autopoweroff in pmset?
