Trying to import a clip into Final Cut Pro X

Trying to import a clip into FCPX, I get the message "There is not enough disk space available at the selected destination. Please choose another one or clear some space." There are over 200GB available on my hard drive, so don't understand this.


How do I resolve?

You must update the software. Log in to the App Store and check that the application is listed in the Purchased page. If it is move the your version to the trash and redownload to get the current version from the store.
