Safari not working after installing Catalina

I have a 2013 MacBook Pro and after installing Catalina last night, Safari will not open. Anyone experience this and have a fix?

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today. It sounds like Safari won't open after installing Catalina.


Have you checked for any Safari stand-alone updates in the Mac App Store?


Have you restarted your Mac? Try restarting in safe mode: Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac. This can let you know if a piece of third-party software is interfering with the Safari launch.


You can also check inside a new test user account to isolate the issue further: How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac. This can let you isolate the issue to your user or system-wide.
