Apache Open Office v Mac OS

I downloaded Apache Open Office and added it to the other Applications. However, Mac OS Catalania v10.15.1 does not let it open. The message I receive is:


“OpenOffice” cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified. macOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware.


The only option Mac OS is offering is moving the downloaded app to the bin!! What can I do?

Hold the option key or control click to allow the override.
