Sadly, same. Maybe it will work with Usb-c cable and lightning camera connector? I don't have it with me right now.
I tried it with USB C to USB A that came with the controller and a USB C hub on the iPad as well as USB C to USB C, no dice. Maybe you can get it to work though.
i do use it sometimes. Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind.
If you are a developer, you can always just install the dev beta, if you don’t want to wait.
I’m having the same issue. I’ve been super happy with my Xbox Elite version 1 and decided to invest on the version 2 since it had Bluetooth support, and I wish to play Apple Arcade on my apple devices (ipad, apple tv, macmini and iphone).
However I have been trying for two days now and the controller device doesn’t even show up in the Bluetooth settings in my devices other than the MacMini, and even though it connects it doesn’t work properly.
I love the new controller I think it’s a masterpiece and I hope Apple provides support for it soon so I can start enjoying it.
I’m guessing it will come sooner or later. Apple Arcade games are said to be compatible with this controller. I even tried the switch control method as it was suggested to me through Reddit. It connects for a little then disconnects. I was so pumped but no dice.
I’m sure the problem is the fact that the elite controller series 2 has a much more advanced Bluetooth setting because I’m pretty sure the controller is set properly to connect to project scarlet upon release
It works on a Huawei media pad running Android (£150) but not on the my iPad over £1000 what he he’ll is going on it is endorsed by Microsoft and the Apple web site says
“Connect your wireless controller to play supported games from Apple Arcade or the App Store, navigate your Apple TV, and more.”
I have dont all the firmware updates and still no joy
For the first time sitting across the dinner table my mom pulls out her android and I was thinking, I bet that connects just fine with the Xbox elite series 2. I bet I would have a more enjoyable experience on that phone. Then I thought to my self, “holly smokes I’m an iPhone XS Max owner and I’m envious of an Android?!?!”
you know what? I’m going to test it.
That's a good point. I'm on the iOS public beta right now so I added the bug in the Feedback app on my iPhone as well. Selected iOS & iPadOS section and then for the area the bug is located I selected "Game Controller Framework" and "Incorrect/Unexpected Behavior" for the feedback type. Hopefully this helps Apple detect and fix the bug sooner.
I returned the Elite controller before the stores return policy lapsed. I also deleted the iOS apps I had installed that allegedly use Xbox controllers. I’m disappointed in both Microsoft and Apple on this one.
I would love to see this supported as I play on Xbox there is no way I can go back to a normal controller to play Apple Arcade
On my phone Apple TV and iPad
it would be beneficial for Apple Arcade to
Please Make This Happen!!

I put this under software hardware compatibility
on Apple TV iPad iPhone and all Mac’s
Please add the feature~ I just got my new iPad Air last night and I cannot connect my Elite series 2. I’m sure you’re going to have many more requests as people are upgrading to the new iPad for gaming this Christmas. Gaming is the wave right now please make the devices compatible.
It's just a real shame because Epic Games have just updated Fortnite with the improved joystick compatibility and 120 FPS ProMotion support for the 3rd generation iPad Pro. I am also very disappointed, However Apple could redeem themselves by adding support for the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller.
Moral of the story is don't buy Apple products. Blaming Microsoft when this is all Apples faults is very unfair. All Apple would need to do is allow the Bluetooth ID for the Elite 2 and everything would be okay. This is Apple though they know best and likely care to put the time into the code.
