Stutter issue (please pay attention to this issue)

Hi Guys

I don't know why Apple doesn't fix stutter issue in iPhone XS/XS Max and even Pro/Pro Max. Scrolling and animation stutter happens in all of new iPhones. It's in whole of UI like opening or closing apps animation or scrolling in lots of apps. it's intermittent issue and happens rarely, but it's very annoying me. I saw lots of videos about iOS updates in YouTube and it's good to know I could see stutter in YouTubers's iPhones too.

for some users, maybe It's hard to see stutter, because it happens rarely. but to those who can not see the stutter, please go to Setting> Privacy> Analytics & Improvement> Analytics Data and then open

a error file that has lot's of text and you can scroll it (like

JetsamEvent). for the first time, scroll the page and you see the

scrolling stutter. remember that this scrolling stutter just happen for

the first time of scrolling which got a little better as scrolled back.

I don't mean stutter just happens in Analytics Data files. It happens whole of UI, but in those file you can easily see this issue on XS/XS Max and Pro/Pro Max. I checked my iPhone 7 and even iPhone 5. they are still smooth.

Well, i have some sad news, but some happy news too!

Just went to the Apple Store, and showed this and other forums related to the Stutter problem on iPhone Xs Max, and the true is that THEY DONT CARE about it, and THEY DONT CHECK THIS THING, people here complain about lots of problem, waiting on a solution from Apple, and the truth is APPLE WILL NEVER FIX ANYTHING in iOS based in this forum

I've recorded some screens of the stutter happening, showed in the Apple Repair Center, they did LOTS of tests, did these tests about 5 times, its really annoying, but i did, and the system didnt noticed ANYTHING wrong, but the problem was there...

They've called some kind os "Specialist" in Apple products, which told me it was my 4G "data" was slow and thats was the cause of my problem. LOL

Then, they called another guy, which was very smart and a bit "nerd", we've tested some apps and he saw that my phone was with this problem, then, fastly he got a new one, and gave me to try....the new one is working perfectly, there's no stutter anymore!

I Would like to encourage you guys, go and solve your problem, this thing here wont help, Apple doesnt fix anything based in these infos here

Thanks for your help and friendship here!

We'll always be a family, the Stutter family! lol :D

Yea it does stutter. It’s a small problem but can’t help my self to notice it. On my iPhone X before everything is fine all smooth but when I upgraded to 11 Pro Max I really felt the stutter issue. Reacting on a comment in facebook it stutters, when opening a photo in facebook and close it, it stutters. In the camera app, changing lense from 1x to .5 to 2x damnnn you can really feel the stutter! Hoping apple can fix this! I don’t think its a hardware related issue, I think they can fix it with their software.

I have the same issue. I’ve bought an iPhone XS Max 2 month ago and I’m experiencing stuttering scrolling and stuttering when I’m swiping between home screens even on iOS 13.4.5. Of course I asked Apple Support about it, but they can’t help me with this problem except to recommend me to visit repair center. Of course I’ve made a DFU mode, but it isn’t solved my problem.

I’ve noticed that if I reboot my phone, it’s solve my problem for a moment or while I update my apps from App Store. Maybe it’s connected with processor activity? Idk

is it hardware or software problem.

Also I’ve sent a logs to Apple about this issue, but still hasn’t received any feedback.

i have kinda a bad feeling that if it doesn’t seem like a widespread problem, it may connected with hardware and Apple will not fix it even on iOS 14...

I understand your worries.

when I bought my XS Max and saw stutter, I felt my iPhone had some hardware problems. I sent it to Singapore (because my iPhone part number is ZA/A) and they checked the phone and told me the iPhone is OK and there are no hardware issue.

by the time, when my brother bought iPhone 11 Pro Max, I could see scrolling stutter in his phone too. but his iPhone runs smoothly most of the time. further, iOS 13 fixed some of stutter issue in my iPhone, and now, in iOS 13.4, scrolling stutter in Setting> Privacy> Analytics & Improvement> Analytics Data files (file that has lot's of text) is completely fixed.

by considering these fixes, I hope the stutter issue is a software bug that can be fixed in future updates. even maybe in iOS 13 updates or iOS 14. It's good to know switching WiFi to LTE was an old iOS 12 bug that fixed in iOS 13.2.

I’m pretty sure the user interface is made to be choppy/laggy on purpose right now because one of the upcoming features of the iPhone is a pro-motion display which is supposed to feel more fluid/responsive. By having this choppiness and lack of fluidity on non-pro-motion displays, there will be a dramatic perception of fluidity/responsiveness when comparing the old and new devices, which will be a major reason to upgrade. There is a lot of purposeful choppiness in my opinion (typing latencies, slow cross-fade iOS transitions and other lags). This isn’t an issue on many flagship (and non-flagship) phones but it is one even for the latest 11 Pro Max. I think that’s a shame.
