USB hub connection problem after upgrading to macOS 10.15 Catalina

A quick search find Catalina has other issues with USB hub/ethernet adapters. My issue is a little different, hence new post:


I have a USB3.0 Hub with built-in ethernet adapter:


Product ID: 0x0612

Vendor ID: 0x05e3 (Genesys Logic, Inc.)

Version: 92.24

Speed: Up to 5 Gb/s

Manufacturer: GenesysLogic


I have been using it for a couple of years. After upgrading to 10.15 Catalina, devices start to lose connections after sleep/wake up. I have to unplug/re-plug these devices to make them work.


The devices having problems include an Xp-pen G640 tablet and a Flowjo license USB dongle. Keyboard is fine.


No problem if I plug them onto the MacBook pro USB port directly.


Apple please fix this USB hub issue.
