Typing is ruined

iOS 13 has ruined typing and cursor control. It is literally often a chore to make simple edits now. Too many issues and they're not always consistent leading me to believe it's partly bug-related (for example, cursor not moving to the location I tap at, menu with Copy/Paste/etc sometimes not appearing after double-tapping or selecting text, Paste often not appearing in Safari while Paste and Go does, a link in Notes consistently opening when tapping almost anywhere on the note to edit) while others are seemingly by choice. Is there any way to revert it to how it was? Also is there a way to universally disable link previews? I mean really who thought it was a good idea to force these changes?

I have a 6s = small screen

I don't get anything like what you describe, where you describe it

In BOTH Safari and Firefox iOS I can easily select the text in the position that you describe (NOT the same text for some reason)

The red circle represents my fingertip while DRAGGING the endSelect cursor

It is at about the "vertical" limit of where it wants to move the endSelect to the next lower line

This image is about the same actual size as my 6s display

I can select text "Bolivia's President Evo..." AND "The organization of American States..." as well

OK

I have PROVEN that bbc news has DESIGNED the page thataway

Further proof that it has nothing to do with iOS 13?

This.

Firefox 70 on my WIn 10 notebook - with he page ZOOMED up until BBC site THINKS the display in a MOBILE Device

the arrow oriented like a computer MouseCursor is where I placed the HAND cursor

the other arrows point to the page's REACTION to the cursor being there

THIS is the text with which you have an issue - thus, proving my experiment 😁😎
