Hi. Just bought an iPad and was allowed the free subscription for a year. When I tried to subscribe it says I wasn’t allowed. Tried twice, closed the app then reopened it. It seemed to have worked but I actually only have two free episodes per series and no movies and the subscription doesn’t appear in my subscription.
and when I go to the apple tv website I now only have the 7 days free trial......
what should I do???

So I contacted apple via the "contact support" platform and after checking my details they gave me a redeem code to get the apple tv + free for a year (as I was supposed to get it).
I now have access to the series and movies for free. Not many but there are some, like The Morning Show, See, and The Elephant Queen which is a movie.

There are only a few episodes per show right now. More episodes will be released each week and new shows each month.
There are no free movies included.
Try looking at subscriptions via the App Store, tap on your profile and you should have also received a receipt in your Apple account email.
Thanks for your correction. I thought the OP might have thought it included iTunes movies.
@Marion, you can test if it’s working for you to see more content by opening the Apple TV App and in the Watch Now Tab scroll down to “Discover tv+” You will find all the content that’s currently available in that.
There are no free movies included.
The Elephant Queen and Hala are movies, in the sense of duration (90+ min.) and not being episodic. Both have been at Sundance.
Ok glad you got it sorted out, there’s also For All Mankind, Dickinson, Oprah and few Kids shows. More will be coming
