Hello:
Two days ago the battery indicator on my iPhone 7 (iOS 13.1.3) started acting erratically. After I charge it to 100%, it drops quickly (in about an hour) to 1%, yet the phone keeps working for hours thereafter without shutdown of charging (and the indicator keeps showing 1%). How can I restore correct functioning to the battery level indicator?

Has the battery ever been replaced? This kind of behavior can happen with a failing battery.

In Settings>Battery>Battery Health, what's listed for Maximum Capacity?
If it's 80% or less, the battery definitely needs replacing, and you can make an appointment at an Apple store for this.
